PROPOSED BY-LAWS CHANGES — 2017

The Policy & Procedures Committee started working on the proposed changes of the PGCOS By-Laws in January of 2016. Since then, the DRAFT By-Laws have been revised, revised and … revised.

During February and March 2017, the Committee has presented the DRAFT By-Laws to the PGCOS Board of Directors, the Hart Pioneer Centre, the Elder Citizens Recreation Association, the Spruce Capital Seniors Centre, and the North Central Seniors Association. The Committee greatly appreciated feedback received at each of these meetings, and have incorporated suggested changes into the revised DRAFT By-Laws. In April and May, the Committee will be presenting the DRAFT By-Laws to the Retired Teachers’ Association, the PG & District Seniors Activity Centre, and the BC Government Retired Employees Association.

A Special Meeting is planned to approve the DRAFT By-Laws on Friday June 16 at 10:30 am at the PG Native Friendship Centre. This meeting will include lunch. The Committee is hopeful that the DRAFT By-Laws can be implemented at the PGCOS AGM in September.
